Waxahachie Fire Rescue is Going Pink

October is Cancer Awareness Month and the Waxahachie Fire Rescue is wearing pink to support breast cancer awareness and raise funds for a cure.

The team will be wearing pink t-shirts, printed by PepWear, on duty October 25th to 27th.  The firefighters are wearing the t-shirts as part of the Texas State Firefighters Association Cares Enough to Wear Pink Program.

The t-shirt design was created by Waxahachie Firefighter Julio Hernandez.

Don Alexander, President of the Firefighter Association, said he gave Hernandez a few guidelines: use the Waxahachie Fire Rescue Patch, the breast cancer ribbon and a Maltese cross.  The resulting design incorporates all the guidelines into an eye catching design.

The community has really gotten behind this program and the t-shirts are selling fast!  The fire department has already placed 3 repeat orders with PepWear.

“The community support has been overwhelming and the t-shirts are selling faster than we expected.  We sold over 300 t-shirts the first day!” said Alexander.

“PepWear has been great!   Their turnaround time has been phenomenal,” he continued.

Condumex

Condumex, an Automotive Parts, Cables, Electronics and Power Component Supplier in Texas needed to “break the ice” with potential clients while retaining the loyalty of their existing customers.  They decided to use promotional products from PepWear to market their company.

Philip Medick, Marketing Representative at Condumex, decided to call PepWear for ideas.  He is a regular customer of PepWear Custom Sales Representative, Melissa Timmerman and he knew she would have some great ideas.  Working together, they devised a marketing plan that included t-shirts, pens, pads, lanyards, and mouse pads.

“I really let Melissa give feedback and then combined that with my thoughts to come up with a viable solution for our tight budget.  The reason we went with the items we chose was because they are functional, universal and can be replaced yearly without having a repetitive design,” said Medick.
