New PepWear $50/$50 Referral Program

February 11, 2010, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.

PepWear announces the new, PepWear $50/$50 Referral Program.  With the new program, customers save $50 when they refer a friend and their friend receives $50 off too!

The new program is an extension of PepWear’s previous referral program which rewarded customers with $50 off their order each time they referred a custom order customer.  The new, expanded program will help new customers save too!

“Our business is built on referrals and we appreciate our customers recommending us to their friends, family and colleagues.  We wanted to say thank you for the help so we started our Refer A Friend program.  The new PepWear $50/$50 Referral Program goes a step further by offering your friends an additional incentive to give us a try,” said Craig Johnson, PepWear, LLC President.  “With the PepWear $50/$50 Referral Program everybody saves!” he continued.

PepWear attends more than 800 events across the U.S. each year to recognize and celebrate students’ achievements. They do so by offering commemorative t-shirts, hoodies, plaques, jewelry, and other items. They also screenprint and embroider custom apparel and promotional items for schools, non-profits, and businesses. True to spirit, PepWear contributes a portion of their annual revenue to support groups that promote youth achievement.

Waxahachie Fire Rescue is Going Pink

October is Cancer Awareness Month and the Waxahachie Fire Rescue is wearing pink to support breast cancer awareness and raise funds for a cure.

The team will be wearing pink t-shirts, printed by PepWear, on duty October 25th to 27th.  The firefighters are wearing the t-shirts as part of the Texas State Firefighters Association Cares Enough to Wear Pink Program.

The t-shirt design was created by Waxahachie Firefighter Julio Hernandez.

Don Alexander, President of the Firefighter Association, said he gave Hernandez a few guidelines: use the Waxahachie Fire Rescue Patch, the breast cancer ribbon and a Maltese cross.  The resulting design incorporates all the guidelines into an eye catching design.

The community has really gotten behind this program and the t-shirts are selling fast!  The fire department has already placed 3 repeat orders with PepWear.

“The community support has been overwhelming and the t-shirts are selling faster than we expected.  We sold over 300 t-shirts the first day!” said Alexander.

“PepWear has been great!   Their turnaround time has been phenomenal,” he continued.

Throw It Down captures intensity of drum corps

Professional filmmaker delivers outside perspective

By Ken Martinson, Marching.com Founder

Throw It Down DVD Cover Throw It Down, an 88-minute documentary from director John E. Maher, offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the reality of marching in a top-ranked drum and bugle corps. The film follows the 2006 season of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps from Canton, Ohio, and presents themes that are universal to anyone involved in the marching activity.

This is a film about perseverence and the ultimate rewards for those who manage to navigate the challenges of a summer spent living, breathing and dreaming drum corps. It's important to watch Throw It Down all the way through. In the first 30 minutes, uninitiated viewers might wonder why anyone would want to join a corps and work so hard. But the answer becomes clear later in the film when the intensity and repetition start to pay off.
